Esophagus
small bowel(distal to ligament of Treitz)
asymptomatic and ingestion not definite or not recent
Urgent endoscopic removal
Radiolucent
Asymptomatic
Urgent endoscopic evaluation and removal
Consider endoscopic removal unless short object with heavier blunt end
Gastric
Enteroscopy or surgical removal
Following clinical with serial radiographEnteroscopy or surgical removal considered if develops symptoms or >3 days without passage
Radiopaque
Symptomatic
